HELLO!
I’M ISABELA SUED.
ABOUT ME
I have been involved in English language teaching (ELT) since 2006 and have been a publishing professional since 2015.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Communication – Journalism by PUC-Rio. I also have three Cambridge University certificates: C2 Proficiency (CPE); Teaching Knowledge Test Module 2 – Lesson planning and use of resources for language teaching; and Teaching Knowledge Test Module 3 – Managing the teaching and learning process. Besides these, I am a Google Certified Educator (Levels 1 and 2). I have a foundation degree in pre-primary and primary teaching and learning, and took part in an international studies programme in Modern Languages at Saint Louis University – Madrid campus in 2012.
As an ELT materials writer, editor, and consultant, I have already taken in a wide range of print and digital materials (general English; bilingual; CLIL; social emotional learning), and have worked for major publishers, such as National Geographic Learning and Macmillan.
At Eleva Educação (currently known as Grupo Salta Educação), I worked as an Editorial Coordinator and was, later on, promoted to Editorial Project Manager. I was responsible for managing the overall production of the main textbook series for pre-primary students as well as the series for primary students for different school subjects (Portuguese, Math, History, Geography, and Science). I also managed the production of the bilingual textbook series (Go Bilingual) for primary students, and of the digital materials for secondary students. My other responsibilities included building and developing the editorial team (editors, copy editors, and designers) to ensure maximum performance, as well as creating and managing schedules, and commissioning and supervising authors.
I have already worked at different schools and language schools, teaching students at various ages (kids, teenagers, and adults) and levels (A1-B2).
I worked as a Cambridge English Assessment Specialist from 2017 to 2019. As a speaking examiner, I was responsible for assessing the accuracy, acceptability, and appropriateness of spoken English for Pre A1 Starters, A1 Movers, A2 Flyers, B1 Preliminary, and B1 Preliminary for Schools.
My areas of expertise are ELT writing, editing, and consulting; project management (print and digital materials); teacher training; and publishing training.
